Aiming to increase the believability of intelligent virtual agents, this paper describes the implementation of a parameterizable gaze behavior system based on psychological notions of human gaze. The resulting gaze patterns and agent behaviors cover a wide range of possible uses due to this parametrization. We also show how we integrated and used the system within a virtual environment.
