Abstract

This paper presents a new approach for assessing user's emotional experience during Human Computer Interaction (HCI). The presented approach is based on the use of physiological signals derived from users during interaction with software, a system or a product. Most of the times the physiological signal provide an objective view about someone's emotional state and offers to the researchers or practitioners an extra ability to create continuous recording of these states. Therefore the overall number of emotional states could be a starting point for a further analysis of transition between emotions. The specific analysis it will be able to provide with a number of new special indices in order to support the way of evaluation. In order to support the proposed approach, suitable software will be implemented and a first version of its functionality issues is also presented in this paper.
