Abstract

Human-centered distributed information design incorporates the theory ofdistributedcognition with the need for multiple levels of analyses in system design.This methodologyprovides systematic principles, guidelines, and procedures for designingHCC systems. Theauthors selected electronic medical records systems to demonstrate theirmethodologybecause HCC is almost nonexistent in EMR systems.
