A number of projection systems have been constructedthat create an immersive experience for the viewer. However, little consideration has been given to thedevelopment of projection systems that can use thesurfaces in our everyday environment as their target. This paper discusses the progress that has been achievedin the area of projection systems and the technologiesinvolved. A system is presented that facilitates thecreation of a multi-projection immersive environmentusing display surfaces such as walls, desks, bookcasesand other furniture that may exist in our livingenvironment.
