The combination of mobile computing and collaborativeAugmented Reality into a single system makes the powerof computer enhanced interaction and communication inthe real world accessible anytime and everywhere. Thispaper describes our work to build a mobile collaborativeAugmented Reality system that supports true stereoscopic3D graphics, a pen and pad interface and direct interactionwith virtual objects. The system is assembled from off-the-shelf hardware components and serves as a basic testbed for user interface experiments related to computer supportedcollaborative work in Augmented Reality. A mobileplatform implementing the described features and collaborationbetween mobile and stationary users are demonstrated.
