We see plants nearly everywhere in the environment around us. Why, then, do we have only a few satisfactory plant models? We think it's because, so far, creating plants is a job for experts who can handle the large structural and geometrical complexity of these models. As explained in this article, the combination of a rule-based approach with traditional geometric modeling techniques enables the fast and comfortable generation of plants.
